What's
the difference between the Mark VII .50
A.E. Desert Eagle and the new Mark XIX
component system ?
If you own a .50
A.E. Desert Eagle Pistol from the Mark VII series (all .50 A.E.'s sold
prior to the Mark XIX system are Mark VII pistols), your pistol is fully
compatible with the Mark XIX component system. Here's how it works.
If you have a .50 A.E. in either the Mark VII or Mark XIX model, with
a 6-inch or a 10-inch barrel, and you want to convert to .44 Magnum,
all you need are two things: a .44 Magnum magazine and a .44 Magnum
barrel (6-inch or 10-inch) from the Mark XIX system. If you have a .50
A.E. in either the Mark VII or Mark XIX model, with a 6-inch or a 10-inch
barrel, and you want to convert to .357 Magnum, all you need are three
things: a .357 Magnum magazine, a .357 Magnum barrel (6-inch or 10-inch)
and a .357 Magnum bolt assembly from the Mark XIX system. (Please note
that the .50 and the .44 utilize the same bolt assembly.) Finally, if
you have a Mark XIX Desert Eagle in .44 Magnum, with either a 6-inch
or a 10-inch barrel, and you want to convert to .357 Magnum, you need
a .357 Magnum magazine, a .357 Magnum barrel (6-inch or 10-inch) and
a .357 Magnum bolt assembly from the Mark XIX system. |
